Astrology is one of many tools that has helped me to process and heal from the inevitable traumas I have experienced on this human journey. I have been studying astrology since 2012. I am currently part of Raquel Springs astrology mentorship program.

 

Every trauma i have experienced has preceded a period of growth, self awareness and healing. At every stage of my journey I have shared my experiences through creative projects as a way to process my own healing and also to help facilitate the same in others. Astrology is another tool in my tool belt that helps me guide others on their own journey back to themselves and their true identity just as it has helped me.

 

Since graduating from a Dogon mystery school in 2016 I have learned about the power of the occult sciences, first hand. It wasn't the blissfully serene retreat you expect when searching for spiritual enlightenment, in fact it was the hardest and most devastating time of my life. My whole sense of reality was aggressively shaken up. However, through all of these challenges, I have found my way back to myself and cultivated a strength that would not have been possible without going through the fire. Awakenings are ugly and if you don't know what you are dealing with it can be hard to reach the other side. If you are going through trauma an awakening is probably on the horizon. Astrology allows us to gain perspective and ownership of our lives.

 

One of the most valuable pieces of information I learned during my Kemetic initiation was that; in order to be a spiritual person you need to know where you are standing in time and space, astrology shows you just that. Astrology has been a key component in helping me to understand the identity I was born into and how to navigate the ever-progressing cycles of nature. Understanding cycles enables you to work with nature rather than against it. When you are in your flow, things happen effortlessly for you. Astrology is one of the many systems that has helped me to understand who I am, where I am going and how to get there.
