We Feed The UK is a nationwide storytelling project bringing together photography, poetry and regenerative farming to explore how food, land and culture are deeply interconnected. Led by The Gaia Foundation, the project pairs ten photographers, ten poets and ten regenerative farming projects across the UK, creating new collaborative works that celebrate farmers as custodians of Britain’s biocultural diversity.

The resulting works form a touring exhibition, presented at institutions including Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool, The Royal Photographic Society in Bristol, and Primary in Nottingham. Alongside these national presentations, many of the commissions have also been exhibited locally in the places where the work was made, in community spaces, galleries and outdoor environments connected to the projects themselves.

Ayesha Jones’ commission focuses on Neville’s “No Diggity” soil restoration project, documenting regenerative growing practices and the relationship between people, soil and food production. Through portraiture and close observations of the allotment environment, the work explores how regenerative agriculture restores not only ecosystems but also community relationships with land and food.

Extending the themes of the project, Jones designed her exhibition to be shown outdoors in growing spaces, including allotments and gardens where vegetables and plants are cultivated. Installed directly within these environments, the photographs become part of the landscape that inspired them, encouraging viewers to encounter the work while participating in the rhythms of community growing.

By placing the images within living gardens and shared spaces, the exhibition reflects the ethos of No Diggity itself: collaborative, relational and rooted in the belief that healthy soil and healthy communities grow together.
